This husband and I…
Take our time browsing thrift shops…chuckling at doodads from the past…like…that grandma of mine had one like that…or lookie here…a Ronco Pocket Fisherman… Then there are the items…that tug at the heart…the Toy Story items…so personal…so individualized…had to be a one time treasure…now looking sadly from a white metal shelf…missing their person…wondering how they ever found themselves precariously perched there…abandoned… This old gal…is drawn to these…wanting to know their story…where are you now Meghan…how old are you…did something happen to Mom…for surely…she wouldn’t part with such a heartfelt tribute…and then there’s John and Carole…who must have enjoyed a trip to the coast…did they split up…pass away…downsize and say good-bye to these old travel trinkets…and Sharon…darling little Sharon…why are you here…so sweet…so lovely…where’s your family…your legacy…where is the love…for this ponytailed little beauty… But the best of the best…the coil vase…created by young little hands…in some school art class…proudly sitting there…it’s regal glory for all to see…this one…resonates…with mama me…those coiled art projects…still lovingly displayed in Little Cottage…treasures only a mother could love… Quiet your worried hearts…coiled vases of mine…you are safe with this old gal…she will never part with something so proudly made…by those treasures of hers…you will forever be loved…just as they…to infinity…and beyond… And those daughters of mine...agree...
