Heart hurts…when those daughters of hers hurt…would do anything to fix it…endure their struggle…take their pain…use that magical mama kiss that always cured…any little bump or boo boo…

A video popped up in memories…haven’t seen it in years…this 13 year old daughter of mine…singing her heart out at a school arts competition…the Voice of Truth by Casting Crowns…this song her support…her mantra…

Like so many…elementary school had not been kind…lots of stress…lots of hurt…lots of pain…public school teacher me…transferred her to a Christian School for junior high…knew the staff…knew the kids…knew their God…

It was a last ditch effort…to create distance…break the frame…end her torment…and truth to tell…it was the best decision…mama me has ever made…

At this school…with these people…she felt safe…accepted…loved…she made friends…played sports…had fun…she gained confidence…creating a safety net…for those coming high school years…

And so it is…now…when those hearts of those ladies of mine are sad…their young lives busy…stressful…mama me too far away for a hug…to kiss that owie…to make the pain…go away…this old memory calls out to heart heavy me…a Godwink for sure…reminding this old gal…to listen…to believe…to not be afraid…those girls of yours…are not alone…
