You Are Beautiful

This old gal…

Loves puzzles…likes to have one going…at all times…a great way to relax…a fun way to connect…when those daughters of mine come home…purchased a delightful table set…masterfully decorated by a former art teacher…just for puzzles…

Held firm when house hunting…not settling until new home…had a perfect little place…for that perfect puzzle table…christened the new puzzle room…with the completion of a pretty collection of flowers…in vases…only this masterpiece…was not complete…although brand new…at the end of the day…one piece…was missing…

Searched the floor…the chairs…under things…on top of things…worried that perhaps this old gal accidentally left little lost piece in the plastic sack…when it was tossed in the trash…but no matter…after the last piece was placed in its spot…this old gal did…what she always does…she rubbed her palms over the entirety of the masterpiece and whispered…beautiful…

And so it is in life…sometimes a piece is missing…or gets lost…you may not feel quite whole anymore…but that masterpiece is still there…in front of you…it’s beauty as a whole…overpowering the lack…of the missing piece…

Go ahead…admire the masterpiece that is you…look closely…and whisper…
