Words Matter

This old gal…

Should have known better…tossing the damp toothbrush in a cup…on the bathroom shelf…the wet bristles…leaning on the backing…leaving water stains…permanent…annoying…uglier than ugly…

Ordered contact paper…cover that embarrassment up…was a little wary though…remember contact papering…back in the day…twas not easy…not easy at all…

But this brand…not only pretty…was advertised as…removable…removable contact paper…how cool is that…probably like that shelf liner…sticky…but maneuverable…should be easy peasy…lemon squeezy…

But therein…lies the quandary…this paper was sticky…yes…maneuverable…no way…removable…kind of left to interpretation…that being…it can be taken off…as long as the entire shelf…rips away with it…

And so it is with words…the good…the bad…stick…and stick well…so choose them wisely…use them kindly…and make this world…a prettier place…
