This husband of mine…
Suggested a trip to San Marcos…walk around the quaint downtown…check out the mall…the mall with two sides… The simpleton side…Old Navy…Rue 21…American Eagle… and the premium side…the fancy side…the Nieman Marcus-nothing-under-500-bucks side… Turned into the simpleton side like always…the favorite stores of simpleton me…asked that shopping partner of mine where he’d like to go and couldn’t believe his response… “I really want to go to the other side,” came his words…shocking words…surprising words…words from a man who usually rolls his eyes at the mention of stopping at the too-expensive-for-us boutiques… And so we did…go to the other side…browsed the premium shops…oohed at this…ahhhed at that…simpleton me not sure what that husband of mine was looking for… Left empty handed…headed downtown…ate lunch…walked around the city square…ran across a thrift shop hidden near an alley and what to my wondering eyes should I find… Treasures…beautiful treasures…premium treasures…at nothing more than a simpleton price… And so it is…in life…sometimes you know where you belong…where you fit in…where your heart is…and that is where…you will find your treasure… And this husband of mine...agrees...
