What Are The Odds

This husband of mine…

Is the bed maker…not that his lovely wife doesn’t offer…but when it comes to making beds…there seem to be two different ways…

Her way…and his way…her way…the quick pull and straighten…tug and tuck…smooth and level…

His way…take everything off except the fitted sheet…and start again from scratch…

Making sure those corners are tucked in…nice and tight…impossible to move your feet tight…no way to get air for your suffocating piggies…tight…

Asked about the tuck and no tuck…referencing that clever Seinfeld episode…I tuck…came his reply…to keep the bugs out…

What are the odds…came the thought…that a bug’s gonna get in the bed…also what are the odds…that if a bug DID get into the bed…it would be frightening…

And what are the odds…just two days later…a bug…the size of a half dollar made his appearance…some 8 feet…from that no tuck…

The odds…apparently…are pretty good…and one could say the odds are also pretty good…that one of us will for now…let the other one…make the bed…his way…
