We Appreciate You

This old gal…

Spent Mother’s Day weekend and Teacher Appreciation week…appreciating that daughter of hers…

Met the kids…was treated like a queen…admired her classroom…was in awe of her skill as an educator…

Classroom management…teaching materials…power points…all top notch…it was delightful really…watching her in action…mama me wished she lived closer…had come more often…

Browsed the room admiring photos…student projects…came across a drawing…familiar…uncanny…kind of crazy that stick figures could be so recognizable…

But yet…there we were…in the front of the classroom…watching over her as the days pass by…

Family…her family…and suddenly mama me didn’t feel so sad…knowing that drawing was there…knowing stick figure me was smiling…

Knowing that no matter how far away mama me may be…she will always be right there in the heart…of that beautiful girl…those kids call teacher…
