This husband and I…

Enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast…hosted by that daughter of his…got to see lots of family…kids…grandkids…great…grandkids…

Sat around…chatting…indulging…food amazing as always…but noticed while trying to converse…that it was loud…very…loud…

Because everyone was talking…laughing…and that’s when it hit…not one person…was on a device…not even the littles…instead…drumroll here…they were playing…

Climbing the stairs…playing…petting the dogs…playing…calling to each other…playing…

And it…was…delightful…took this old gal back to days gone by…Christmas Day night…those cousins arriving from Missouri…the joy of seeing them…the thrill we had…just playing…

And so it is in life…sometimes it’s good…to get back to the basics…unplug yourself…unplug your people…listen for the laughter…feel the joy…see again…what’s truly…important…
