For this old gal…
Cleaning the house…has always kind of been a big production…to the point of becoming slightly melodramatic…can’t just gloss over the top with light dusting and a quick mop…no…inevitably…cleaning me…always falls down that gotta scrape the gunk…every nook and cranny of it…rabbit hole… And so it was…decided to use the hot days to do a cleaning once over…kitchen took the stage…step stool out…scrubbing cupboards top to bottom…walls…woodwork…and then…there it was…the once over wipe down of the door frame…revealing sticky…greasy…been there forever…gunk… The inner dialogue begins…protagonist me…shocked…sighs and says…how did I miss this during the move-in deep clean…cutting this grease is going to take forever…antagonist me…doing everything it can to get out of doing extra work…quips…let it go…who cares if it’s gunky…no one will ever know… I will know…declares protagonist me…facing her foe and possible future gunk leaving guilt…the struggle was real…to clean…or not to clean…that…was the question…no surprise…how the story ends… Kudos to Dawn…Comet…an extra scratchy scratch pad…and some elbow grease… And those daughters of mine…agree…that they are happy…to have missed…the show…
