That baker daughter of mine sending a text and a photo…Mom…it said…I made Grandma Sue’s strawberry shortcake yesterday…and so she did…

It’s a unique shortcake…dense…spongey…top with berries…cream…a dollop of Cool-whip…and it melts in the mouth…delightful…delectable…delicious…

Nothing like it anywhere else…a summer thing…a family thing…an only made by Mom thing…

And funny thing…non baker me…had just made one too…first time in years…strawberries in the store…something in the air…felt the nudge…
