That daughter of mine said…
Have you thought about talking to your doctor?..maybe they can give you something that helps…because she knows that it’s that time of year when panic sets in…travel to Texas panic… And HER mother becomes two people…two hers…not in the head banging screaming way…but in a change makes me freak out kind of way… And that’s when yin-yang me rears her ugly head… She wants to go to Texas…yet she wants to stay home…Texas is fun…relaxing…so much to do…restaurants…parks…thrift shops…Buc-ee’s… Yet home…is home… She can walk…explore…commune with nature…do puzzles…read books…chat with friends and neighbors… Yet home…is home… She misses family holidays…the way it used to be…the laughter…the smiles…those daughters of hers.. Yet she’s ok with simplicity…slowing it down…not having to keep up… Change is hard…change is inevitable…and if it weren’t for that husband of mine…Yin would win out over Yang…and that’s not what either me wants… Because home may be home…but there’s something to be said for grand adventures with your very best friend… There’s something to be said for trying something new…there’s something to be said for being brave…because deep down inside…Yang me knows that once we get there… Like always…it will feel…just like home…even without Best Friend… And this husband of mine…agrees…
