There Is Hope For Healing

This old gal…

Read somewhere…that empaths…attach feelings…to inanimate objects…like…oh are you sad…poor little lonely cup at Goodwill…let me take you home and love you…yep…it happens…not saying this old gal is an empath…but she feels deeply…for others…who hurt…have compassion for those…who struggle with mental health issues…

Have seen a therapist for years and years…working on codependency issues…support others with anxiety…panic attacks…ocd…so why…the airing of dirty laundry…the seeming lack of compassion…for the plight…of that mother of mine…

She had support…through her trials…her parents…siblings…kids…she’d bottom out…we were there…caring…loving…getting her the help she needed…was hospitalized…at least five times…anywhere from two to four weeks…twice…at the Mayo Clinic…worked with medical professionals…regularly…

But things…weren’t gonna change…because from the pov of this old gal…she…didn’t think she…needed help…or had a problem…others were the problem…we…were the problem…she…was the victim…

Were the episodes real…yes…but over time…those compassionate caregivers…never acknowledged…never thanked…became nothing more…than what felt like…pawns…in a drama filled…narcissistic game…

This old gal…shares her story…for those…who it may resonate with…so you know…you are not alone…and that…no matter how old you are…there is always hope…for healing…
