This husband and I…

Stopped at Hobby Lobby…he heading to the craft paint feather leather man projects area…she…wandering aimlessly…

Happened to walk down the teacher aisle…that teacher heart of mine doing a pitter pat…pens…markers…glitter letters…bulletin board borders…

And then…there it was…surrounded by mushrooms…this year’s classroom theme…if this old gal had a classroom…and needed a theme…

The smiley face…had to stand a bit…admire the view…36 years…36 themes…can’t believe teacher me never had a smiley face room…

Pirates…yes…safari…cats…dogs…farm animals…of course…owls…llamas…Flower Power groovy man…for sure…but never…the smiley face…

Would have bought them all…the pillows…eraser…sink scrubber…towel…then added more as they came along…

Because who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by smiles…greeted by smiles…embraced…by smiles…
The smile…so simple…so sweet…so powerful…
