The Search Is On

This husband and I…

Were waiting in an exam room…when one of us became intrigued…with the wall decor…trendy…unique…eye catching…noticed a theme…an obvious theme…a love theme…within each real life photo…one could see…the image of a heart…

Mentioned the photos to the patient…who didn’t notice…didn’t care…who then became barraged…with incessant blather…

Where’s the heart in the orange leaves…I don’t see it…do you see it…is it in the snow…on one of the leaves…is it the leaves itself…because if it is…then that’s…not ok…

And so it was…the doctor coming in to discuss test results…one of us listening…while squinting…tilting…eventually giving up…leaving the room on a quest…to find a heart in the wild…out in nature…to snap that photo…to complete this collection…to make it right…to make it work…for no one else…but her crazy old self…

And so…with that trusty side kick of hers along for the ride…that heart searching journey…began…
And that husband of mine…agrees…
