The Grass Is Always Greener

This old gal…

Is finally figuring out Texas weather…definitely not what she pictured…didn’t think there were seasons…just pretty much hot all year round…but no…that would not be the case…Texas December…is Iowa fall…cool temps…autumn colors…leaves leaves leaves…my God man…the leaves…

Comes January…it’s one month of winter…temps may drop below freezing…a typically hot old gal…can comfortably wear…a sweater…

February…hello spring…warmer days…trees budding…birds chirping…animals wake from their slumber…time for spring chicks to be born…

It’s lovely really…but have to admit…sniffy old me…kind of misses that Iowa freeze…those frigid temps…keeping those pollens and allergens…at bay…

And so it is…it’s the old…grass is greener…pick your poison kind of thing…but you have to take the good…with the bad…even tho some days…you feel…a little…ugly…
