Take Time For You

This old gal has decided…

It’s time for the moisturizer bottle…to go in the trash…deemed it almost empty…three months ago…bought a new bottle…but has since…refused to stop milking the old one…for every last drop…

Have done this forever…with any kind of lotion…or soap…or shampoo…won’t toss the bottle…until it is truly…undeniably…empty…

Use lots of techniques…to get to the last drop…the flip over…palm pounding…add a little water…dig to the bottom with the spout…cut the bottle into pieces…it’s surprising how much stuff is still hiding there…in the deep recesses of the container…trying to avoid…the inevitable…

And so it is…sometimes with life…kids…the job…health…you feel empty…used up…like there’s nothing left…

But if you dig down deep enough…take a rest…text a friend…say a prayer…you can find something there…to keep going…

Until the bottle is full…once again…
