This husband and I…
Went to a farmer’s market in December…a Texas Town farmer’s market in the middle of the quaint downtown… Browsed the tables…sampled the wares…found the cutest little mug that reminded us of home… Came across an interesting booth…a clever booth…an Old Coots Giving Advice booth, who asked if we had any issues… Came up with nothing, so laughed and said…’Back pain’…the curse of sleeping in that tiny bed in that tiny cabin in the river resort just down the road… Old Coot frowned, hmmmed and replied that he’d never had that issue…that he’s sorry…that maybe we should contact HR and hopefully down the road we can get our money… Seemed kind of like an intense answer for a lighthearted problem…and honestly -THIS old coot was a little surprised that THAT old coot had never had back pain… But then the more he talked the more it became clear he’d misunderstood, mistaking Bake Pain for Back Pay… And so it is…in life…sometimes we feel unheard…misunderstood…confused…and that’s ok… Find your people…share your feelings…stay positive…and, if need be, ask an old coot for advice…because there are plenty of us out here willing to share… And that husband of mine…agrees…
