Waiting for the Happy Together show to begin…trying to get a selfie…that husband of mine not cooperating…looked into the crowd…and saw a familiar face…

Two familiar faces to be exact…they looking at their tickets…then looking at the rows…trying to figure out where their seats were…

And wouldn’t you know…those seats they were looking for were right behind yours truly…like right behind…directly behind…could breathe on our necks behind…

And what a thrill it was to see these two…chat…catch up…it had been years to be honest…but in a former life…these folks were favorites of mine…and not gonna lie…they still are…

Kind…funny…witty…wise…great parents…great people…family…22 Christmases…22 Thanksgivings…and then life happened…

Divorce happened…and just like that…family isn’t really family any more…but you can’t just erase that many years of familyship…of friendship…

Because special people will always be special people…no matter what…
