This husband and I…
Drove by the house on the corner…the stately brick house…the brick house with the wrap around porch…the brick house with the barn in the back…the brick house where all the kitty cats live… Pumpkin and his friends…Tony, Tiger, Grumpy and Grey…Mama Cat and her kittens who always run and play…there was never a day when they weren’t all lounging on the steps in the sun… But not this spring…not since returning from Texas…the porch is bare, or nearly bare, only Mama Cat and one kitten…not an orange cat to be seen… Cat-loving me was perplexed…wondered where they could be…under the porch perhaps?…in the barn?…it wasn’t like them to not all be out in the yard… So asked her—that friend of mine who just so happened to be outside…stopped the car and ran right over…she thinking we were Door Dashers looking for an address, but recognized her friend from around the corner and sat down for a chat… And it was a wonderful chat…a delightful chat…a where-are-the-cats-on-the-porch kind of chat…because sometimes in life…you just have to know… And this husband of mine…agrees…
