Sometimes You Have To Hit Rock Bottom In Order To Start The Climb Out

This husband of mine…

Was channeling a little bit of Dr. Doolittle energy…at the Animal World and Snake Farm zoo…a beautiful place…housing over 500 species…strolling from exhibit to exhibit…the chatter was nonstop…reading the digital placards…discussing the information…interacting with the critters…

But with each display…each animal…this man of mine…apparently felt a connection…for somewhere in the conversation…at almost every containment…he would say…

This one just wants out…wants to be free…feels trapped…

And when you start to look at it that way…it’s impossible to ignore…and makes one think…about life…how sometimes…you just feel trapped…

A relationship…family dynamic…career…the hopelessness…the fear…can be debilitating…but it’s when rock bottom is hit…that you can find your footing…and start the climb out…

It’s not easy…rock bottom hurts…can last a while…this old gal knows…seems like yesterday…yet moons ago…but if rock bottom hadn’t come…she would never have been brave enough…to make that climb…

And she wouldn’t be where…she is today…
