Sometimes You Find It....When You Least Expect It

This old gal…

Discovered at Retromania…that people are collectors…bobble heads…t-shirts…oddities of all kinds…

Debated on whether to buy tickets…admission fee kinda high…did anyway…and regretted it immediately…

It was packed…people everywhere packed…couldn’t move packed…thought this is 30 bucks we’ll never get back packed…

And then…what to our wondering eyes should we see…a treat booth…and right in the middle of the treat booth…was the elusive…candy apple…

Not to be mistaken for the caramel apple…no…we’ve had this discussion many times…for many years…the candy apple is not covered in caramel…but instead…a hard candy coating…

A beloved treat from the past…this husband of mine mourning the fact…they are nowhere…to be found…

Until this day…this Retromania Day…bringing back childhood memories…warming an old guy’s heart…

And so it is…in life…sometimes you find just what you’re looking for when you least expect it…and sometimes…it’s worth all the money in the world…or in this case 30 bucks…to see an old guy…smile…
