Stopped at JC Penney’s…wanted to check on a pair of pants that caught the eye online…corduroys…in that magic wow color…of blue…found the display…stacks of cords…in tons of colors…went straight for the blue…when seemingly out of nowhere…an older woman pushing a cart…sidles up…to the exact same stack…

Kind of funny actually…since…we were pretty much the only two shoppers in the store…shopper me began lifting off smaller sizes…the woman’s hands fumbling in the mix with mine…we both pull out a size 14…belly blob me not sure what size she wears these days…grabbed a size down…just in case…when out of nowhere Cart Lady…looks shopper me straight in the eye…and says…you will never fit…into a size 12…

And so it is…in life…some things…are better…left unsaid…hurtful things…rude things…things…that are none of…your beeswax…belly blob me…wasn’t particularly offended…she didn’t think she could fit into a size 12 either…but hey…joke was on Cart Lady…

Cuz either that size 12 was a really big size 12 or that salmon and exercise is paying off in more ways than one…
