But discovered something else hidden in that box in the cupboard…a portal…a portal to the past…a past ignored by oblivious me…

Snapshots…black and whites of young Emily…Emily M…Emily M in the 30s…Emily M in love…Emily M…a young mom…

She was beautiful…stunning…classy with a hint of sassy…a young woman this old gal would love to meet…get to know…hear her story…

For what a story it must have been…60 years of life adventures before little me was born…60 years of life adventures before she would become Grandma Em…

Because sad to say…egocentric granddaughter me…rarely thought about Emily M being a person before she was 60 year old grandma Em…

And so it is…in life…share your stories with your people…your back in the day stories…bore your kids…your grandkids…with the tales of young you…

Let them secretly roll their eyes…for one day…when old people pondering crops up…they’ll remember…and be so glad you did…
