Was so excited…to be reunited…with that one sweet love…she found…in home away from home…tried to match its wonderfulness in hometown…but nope…nada…no could do…found no equal anywhere…no grocery store…convenience store…or bakery around…came even close…to the deliciousness of that which was left behind…

Bags barely unpacked…yearning me made the trek…to fill the hole in the heart…ok more like the hole in the stomach…to end that craving the months of separation had caused…

The drive was brief…anticipation high…our eyes met…through the glass of the case…ok…our eyes didn’t meet…but these old eyes spied them…in the case…

Those blueberry donuts…the most delectable blueberry donuts…sweet tooth me has ever found…the royalty of sweets…found at the Donut Palace…

Ordered two…and a dozen glazed donut holes…and a devils food too…cuz why not…it was time to celebrate…

Me…and my sweet…after eight months…reunited…and it tasted…so good…
