This daughter and I…
And that sweet little grandpup of mine…took a little trek to the grocery store…about a mile…she said…seemed to lumbering me…it was surely uphill…both ways…walked along…chatting away…sun was bright…air was cool…Zippity Doo Dah…trotting along beside us…ears flopping in the breeze… Hadn’t gone far…when she stops…digs in her heels…refusing to go one more step…tugged the leash a bit…coaxed…pleaded…gave her time to rest…but there was no doo…or no dah…that was going to get Zippity…to change her mind…stubborn girl…had her eye on that sling…her mama brought along to use in the store… Getting meatloaf ingredients was a doo or dah situation…so Zippity was scooped up…cradled a bit…wrapped in that carrier…and we…were on our way… And so it is in life…sometimes…it’s hard to go on…don’t feel like we can take…one more step…been there…so many times…and you know what…it’s ok…to reach out…and say…I need you…I need you to carry me…today… And they will…friends…family…your higher being…a hug…a text…a Godwink…get you over that hill…so you can zippity doo dah your way back…to a…more wonderful day… And that grandpup of mine…totally agrees…
