Oh Happy Day

This old gal…a few years back…

Had a problem…a belly problem…a big old belly blob problem…age…retirement…hormones…whatever the cause…the shorts in the closet no longer fit…

Felt sad…felt frustrated…felt fat…and not gonna lie…shorts shopping for belly blob old gals is no picnic…and have to say rather humbling…

Eventually found some…a size larger…low rise waist…they becoming the wardrobe staple…until what to my wondering eyes should I see…

These shorts…the rotate and wear almost every day shorts…started to fall off…no longer comfortable…even a belt couldn’t keep them up…

Because…surprise surprise…thanks to this cholesterol journey…one of us has lost weight…not enough to lose the belly blob…but enough to make the belly blob not quite so blobby…

The going to Goodwill shorts were retrieved from the box…and the belly blob shorts saved for bigger belly blob days to come…

And so it is…in life…sometimes you get more than you bargained for…and once in a while…that can be a good thing…a very good thing indeed…
