Those daughters of mine…

Wrapped up that sister quiz TikTok trend…paying homage to that grandmother of theirs…had been sharing all week…things that made them think of her…chicken casserole…sherbet jello…meatloaf and mashed potatoes…cutout cookies…rhubarb jam…ice cream buster bar dessert…

And then…there’s that phrase…the zinger…whine or complain…and that no-nonsense woman would say strait up…there’s nothing I can do about it…

And here we are…years later…having been told that a gazillion times…grown up gals…find it funny…endearing…adopting that phrase…as their own…

How special it is…grandmothers…leaving their mark…sending a hug now and then…in the way of…a phrase…chicken rice soup…or bridal wreath beginning to bloom…letting you know…

You were loved…you are…loved…and you will always…be loved…
