Mix It Up A Bit

This husband of mine…

Was washing the car…his lovely wife standing outside the bay scrolling on her phone when she was interrupted by the gentleman in the next lane…

That haze is something else…he says…I can’t believe it’s this thick…it sure is messing with my allergies…it was so thick last night I could barely see the moon…

Agreed with all of his observations…and as he turned to go a woman approached from the other direction…

Omg…she says…I put money in the towel machine and it ate my quarters…now I have no quarters and no towels…I’ll have to call the manager…to which listening me sympathized…

And then had to laugh…because it felt like one of those Progressive commercials…try not to act like your parents commercials…the observations…the idle chit chat…

Only what made it even more funny is that this old gal is almost always the observer…the idle chit chatter…IS that clueless character in that clever commercial…

And here she was…on the other end of things…

And so it is…in life…once in a while mix it up a bit…chat instead of listen…listen instead of chat…be like your parents or not…but smile…engage and make someone’s day…

You’ll be glad you did…
