Memories - It's Not What They Are But Who You Share Them With

This husband and I…

Got a kick…out of the solar eclipse…woke up all excited…glasses ready…chairs set up…watched the clock…as time neared…settled in…donned the specs…and waited…

Tried to get some eclipse watching selfies…failed miserably…snapped some shots…of the slightly changing backyard view…

And then…it was over…not monumental particularly in the darkening of the sky…but monumental in the fact…that we shared the experience…together…

This old gal…her eclipse buddy…those daughters of hers far away…but right there too…the thrill of the event…giddiness coming through texts…photos…

This once in a lifetime deal…ending with a sight…reserved only…for a few…that daughter of mine…somehow capturing it…that cat of hers…having a solar event of her own…

And so it is…in life…those experiences you have…those memories you make…it’s not so much what they are…or where they are…but who is sharing them…with you…
