Marvel At The Simple Things

This old gal…

Writes her thoughts and ramblings on her phone…in Notes…went to copy and paste a blurb into a post…and hit cut instead of copy…the cut showing up out of nowhere…in copy’s place…the old finger faster…than the recognition of the old mind…

And bloop…the blurb was gone…the Note empty…completely empty…

Dots are tapped…lines are touched…anything and everything is searched…looking for an undo…but no…no undo icon to be found…

Go to Google…just in case this old gal is missing the obvious…and sure enough…there it is…if you accidentally delete a note…shake your phone til the undo icon appears…

Shake…SHAKE…does this not seem random…silly even…to have a shake feature…everything else is about icons…dots and dashes and arrows and curlicues…and all of a sudden there’s a shake option…old people are just supposed to know about…like it’s obvious…make a mistake…oh I guess I’ll just try shaking this old thing…

Well thanks to Google and the shake…the undo icon was located…and happy dance…this old gal did not have to rewrite her blurb…

Will the marvels never cease…me thinks not…
