Make New Memories - Celebrate The Old

Those daughters of mine…

Would have nudged those boys…given them a wink…said we know exactly how you feel when it comes to summer days filled with grand adventures…

Cuz they’ve been there done that with that mother of theirs…the let’s go here…do this…be silly…takes pics…and that we did…filled every minute of those five days up to the gills…

Walked the River…saw the watermelon …overlooked at the Mark Twain Overlook…drove to Illinois and toured the Lock and Dam…

Checked out the parks…the historic neighborhoods and much to the chagrin of those two boys…stopped on a street corner…and were asked to pose…

Because…came a long boring story shared by that tour guide of theirs…back in the day…this old gal and those daughters of hers…found a street sign with their family name on it…and had the best time snapping photos…

And so…there we were…one last grand adventure celebrating old traditions with a new generation…reliving old memories by making new ones…and kindly humoring an old gal…because those boys knew…it would make her smile…
