That youngest daughter of mine…
Always wanted a kitty…asked for a kitty…begged for a kitty…prayed for a kitty…that mother of hers unfortunately…was a fan of poodles… Then one day a tiny critter showed up…hiding in the shed…one of us sure she was a gift from God…so cute…so sweet…until… Little Alice took shelter under the hood of the van one evening…let’s just say the morning drive to school…was heartbreaking… And so that kitty lover of mine waited…years and years…junior high…high school…college and after…until the time was right…for the search to begin… At the Animal Rescue League…so many lost little ones…looking for love…and God had a plan…to fill that hole in that kitty loving heart…with Lennie… Found in a ditch…malnourished…covered in mites…missing 7 teeth…afraid to be touched or cuddled…and that daughter of mine…loved the unloved… And look at Lennie now… And so it is…loving the unloved…dogs…cats…neighbors…the checkout kid…the man on the stoop…the woman with the cardboard sign… See them…hear them… Love them… And those daughters of mine…agree…
