Teacher me…

Was always on the lookout…for the outcast…that kid hanging back…the one with eyes that said…I want to be noticed…and so it was…should have realized that neighbor cat…Black and White…watching from afar…was just wanting to fit in…

But those cool cats…letting other neighbors in the fold…refused Black and White…shunned her…picked on her…going along with the snubbing…deeming her not even worthy of a name…this old gal…is finally seeing Black and White…for what she truly is…

A Sweetie Pie…at first cautious…wary…scared of every noise…but now…visits often…comes when she sees us…weaves in and out…flops here and there…

And so it is…the harshness of life…the pain of being left out…the cruelty…of non acceptance…
Open your eyes…see the hurt…open your heart…let kindness in…
