This MS Warrior of mine…

Is a silent sufferer…always has been…always will be…keeps it inside…toughs it out…has to be really bad for her to share her pain…

Those MS symptoms began in high school but were unexplained…labeled something else…severe nerve pain…arm pain…hand pain…double vision…bouts of muscle weakness…

Diagnosed a few years back…Multiple Sclerosis…just starting a new job…in a new city…the disease modifying therapies grueling…horrible side effects…

And yet…this warrior of mine…was silent…

Got a message the other day…she at a coffee shop…it was hot in there…no air was on…my hands don’t work in the heat because of MS…she said…that’s why my texts are so funny…

Saw a post from a friend…a member of a brain tumor group…be patient with people…she said…you never know what they are going through…

And so…we lift up our silent warriors…our brave friends…the pain they endure…the hidden burdens they carry…

You are heard…
You are seen…
You are loved…
Know that we care…
