This husband of mine said…
We’ve seen this Beatles show before…several years back…had photos as proof… Couldn’t remember it…not at all…would have thought he was wrong had it not been for solid proof… Made a forgetful old gal think of something… someone actually…a dear friend…a work friend…a had-the-best-time-teaching-preschool-with-her friend… Finished a puzzle…pink Victorian house…colorful flowers…shimmering gold interlaced throughout…ran two hands over the picture and was in awe… It was beautiful…the most beautiful puzzle puzzle doer me has ever done…something about it…the colors…the grandeur…the two kitty cats on the step…don’t know for sure…but it was something… So much something that one of us left it there for days…admiring it…caressing it…wanting to save it…never take it apart… Like that friend of mine…chatted about puzzles once during teacher prep she saying that she saves her puzzles…keeps them intact…stacks them up so she can enjoy them whenever she wants… And looking at that shimmery pink Victorian on the coffee table it made sense… And thinking about life through the lens of an old gal…a getting-more-forgetful-every-day old gal…it kind of clicked…and made her wish she could stack up memories like her friend stacked up puzzles… Sweet memories…special memories…memories that make her smile…tuck them away somewhere safe where they can always be found… Because memories…all those years of memories…are a treasure…a beautiful treasure…kind of like that puzzle…that pink gold flecked puzzle now waiting patiently in a box ready to be shared… Just like those memories…an old gal’s treasured memories…kind of like that… And this husband of mine…agrees…
