If this old gal…

Had a dime…for every time she said…just slap something down…she…would be…a wealthy woman…

Twenty years…of watching that daughter of mine…her writing struggles…that OCD writing curse…the simplest of tasks…never simple…

Her struggle…through tedious worksheet packets… answers to questions…those busywork kind of papers…

Teacher me knew didn’t really matter…in the big scheme of things…wanting her to save her energy…for the important writing assignments…

Her support system cheering her on…you can do it…keep it simple…write one sentence…time ticking away…frustration mounting…would eventually end with…

Just slap something down…for God’s sake…just slap sh*t down…

And so it is…in life…OCD curse or not…we get stuck…in a rut…spinning…can’t move on…sometimes we just need those closest to us…who love us…to say…it’s ok…you’ve done enough…

It’s time…to just slap…the proverbial…sh*t down…
