This grandmother of mine…
Always used the phrase…I was so tickled…when referring to being amused…or happy…can’t say it’s a phrase that’s popped up …in say the last…30 years…but comes to mind…when this old gal…evaluates her Mr’s relationship…with Looney Tunes… It’s not like he searches his old buddies Bugs Bunny…Foghorn Leghorn…or Road Runner out…they just suddenly seem to pop up…more often than one would think…while scrolling with the remote…in no time at all…he is engrossed…narrating the actions…like haha…he’s going to drop the anvil…or hehe…he’s really a wolf pretending to be a sheep… And then the gag will happen…and he will belly laugh…like he hasn’t seen it a million times…like he didn’t know what was coming… And so it was…eating breakfast at the hotel in San Antonio…Looney Tunes playing in the background…his dining partner suddenly taking a backseat…to the tomfoolery…of Bugs and his buddy…belly laughing ensued…while nearby patrons ate their eggs…and bacon… This old gal…was tickled…by this sight…a childlike innocence…something triggering those days long gone…when watching a cartoon…was eagerly anticipated…looked forward to…a treat…this husband of mine so easily tickled…by the simplicity of these shows…nothing fancy needed…no deep story line to follow…just innocent…bumbling…fun… And so it is in life…joy can be found…in the simplest of things…a text…a card…a smile…a hello… A hug…a wave…an age old cartoon… And that’s not all folks…the list could go on and on… And this husband of mine…agrees…
