This old gal…

Doesn’t really care for Summer…

Scraggly old thing…taking up space…bare branches…flopping all over…Summer…has been in the family for years…bought as a baby…on our first trip to Mall of America…

This husband of mine…has a thing for all things Hawaiian…so was delighted to find…his very own hibiscus plant…and named her Summer…

But green thumbs…we are not…we have failed her for sure…in pruning or whatever…because no way…should she be so…dare I say it…hideous…

But she is wise…and reads this old gal's mind…and gets her every time…just as she's thinking…it’s time for Summer to go…to the tropical garden in the sky…

She does this…pops out a bloom…and this year…more than one…bold…beautiful…and daring…
….this old gal…to let her go…

Kudos to you…beautiful Summer…you win…keep on being you….and spread the joy...
