It's Sweet, So Very Sweet

This husband of mine…

Planned a little adventure for that vintage-loving wife of his…found a small town with a collection of antique shops…mapped out a back road driving route on Google Maps…

He was excited, so very excited, that one of us didn’t have the heart to say that the “small town” was a suburb of the city and those “back roads” weren’t back roads at all…

Because it was just so sweet, so very sweet…

So, off we went…took two hours to drive 35 miles…never really found the town…the antique shops were kind of a flop…

Took a different way home…a round-a-bout way…true back-road way…beautiful Texas scenery…little to no traffic…a tasty lunch in a town called Boerne…

And it was sweet—so very sweet…

And so it is…in life…surprise your people with something special: a picnic in the park, a movie with popcorn, a fun family game night…

Whatever it may be, show them you care. Make them feel special…

Take it from one who knows (even though she’s scared to drive in the city and did it anyway): they’ll think it’s sweet, so very sweet…
