This husband and I…
Returned to the park…where the sidewalk ends…beautiful cobblestone path…leading to the river…suddenly morphing into a drop off…of gnarled nastiness…looks like work had been done…to cover the horrid mess…but sadly didn’t try to retain the integrity…of that sidewalk piece of art… The patch…concrete…rough…choppy…tire mark fossils…from the leveler machine…feet and feet…of that magical stone path…finishing off…painfully…and so it is…in life…that journey…like a cobblestone path…twisting here…twisting there…the story it tells…for the most part…lovely… But as you near the end of that path…life’s path…it can get…a bit rocky…unsettling…aging…health…finances…not as pretty…not…as serene…but look closely…at where the sidewalk ends…then move your gaze beyond the edge…for it doesn’t end at all…it instead…moves forward… Flowing…like a river…glistening…peaceful…it’s not an ending at all…but instead…it’s a beautiful new…beginning… And this husband of mine…agrees…
