This husband and I…

Had a sleepover…a fun sleepover…a wild and crazy sleepover with those grandboys of ours…

Been a while since we’ve had company…been a while since we’ve had kid company…been a while since we’ve had kid company for days and days…

One of us started planning…looking ahead…got worked up a bit…the other one…not so much…

Conversations going something like this…

Her…breakfasts…what should we do for breakfasts?…cereal?..pancakes?..eggs and bacon?..
Him…they’ll be alright…

Her…meals…what do picky eaters eat for meals?..Mcdonald’s?…Pizza Ranch?…chicken nuggets at home?..
Him…they’ll be alright…

Her…entertainment…how do we keep them busy?..walk by the River?..see the big watermelon?..board games?..vintage Nintendo 64?..
Him…they’ll be alright…

And so it is…in life…some of us panic and some of us go with the flow…but take it from step-grandma me…regardless of which one you are…

They’ll be alright…you all will…
