Stopped at a craft store…get a gift for a friend…paused for second…looking for the checkout…and heard from behind…

A whisper…a mutter…call it what you will…but whatever it was…came out loud and clear…no mas…

Knew exactly what that man of mine meant…his wife unknowingly in front of the TY plushie display…and his words…

Made me laugh…

Cuz not long ago…last week to be exact…while picking up meds at Walgreens…saw a Roddy Piper plushie clip…that…

Made me laugh…

Looked it up later online…just for fun…and wouldn’t you know…right there along with Roddy Piper…was Old Man Wrigs…and Pumpkin too…and they…

Made me laugh…

The purrfect bundle…half price…thought oh why not…then saw…the Squish-A-Boos…two kitties we don’t have…half price too…and the whole conglomeration…

Made me laugh…

So for the price of a meal at McDonald’s…surprised that husband of mine…with a box in the mail…cuz sometimes…when an old gal has what she needs…it’s ok to treat yourself to those things…that warm your heart…

Or make you laugh…

And sometimes…they do both…
