This old gal…

Has a love hate relationship…with the My Chart medical app…bloodwork done…phone keeps pinging…new lab results…in the chart…eager me opens the app…uses this old face to log in…checks the test…then falls down the arm chair doctor me…rabbit hole…

Must have been a gazillion tests done…used to seeing numbers in the green…except for that pesky cholesterol…but not so this time…as results came through…panic sets in…labs were all over the place…these old thumbs…go into searching frenzy…google what the test means…look at the trend…google what illness it could be…google if it’s related…to old age…

This went on…a day and a half…arm chair doctor me making many fateful diagnosis along the way…this husband of mine…sending reassuring warnings…to wait…until the doctor comments…and so it was…a bacterial infection…easily cured with antibiotics…but still sending this old gal to a cardiologist…just to be on the safe side…

Cuz…you know what they say about high cholesterol…and old age…
