I Thought Of You

This old gal…

Got a message along with a picture…“Guess where we are?” said the words…didn’t have to guess…would recognize that beaver anywhere…this friend of mine in Alabama…headed to a wedding down south…

Sent another picture not long after…vases in an antique shop…one a lovely red swung glass…”I thought of you again,” were the words. “This time in Georgia.”

Got another message awhile back from a different friend…a long-ago-in-high-school friend…sent a photo…a fun photo…a delightfully fun photo of a ginormous kitty sleeping bag along with the words, “I thought of you.”

I thought of you…four simple words with such powerful impact…

I thought of you…how much those messages warmed an old gal’s heart…

And know this, my friends and readers, you are thought of, too…more than you know…whether we are long time acquaintances or connected through this community…you matter…

And isn’t that what we all want?…isn’t that what we all need?…to know that we matter?

And so it is, my friends. Who have you thought of today? Let them know. Tell them they matter…
