Walked into home away from home…with a package…what did you order this time…came the question from that husband of mine…not a thing…came the reply…this package is as much of a surprise to me as it is…to you…checked the address…checked the name…correct and correct…four eyes land on the return address at the same time…Berres Brothers Coffee…

Coffee…came his shocked guffaw…didn’t you just order coffee…and that would be affirmative…just got it a week ago…ordered a variety mix…two bags full…48 pods in all…should last awhile…and then the uh oh hit…on that last order…was some box checked unexpectedly…did they sneak one of those monthly recurring order things…in teeny tiny print…past the wise eyes…of coffee drinker me…

The heart dropped…the ugh uttered…the day now destined to be filled with trying to figure out how to cancel some dreaded thing…that wasn’t knowingly ordered…in the first place…opened the box to check…and what to my wondering eyes should appear…
Chocolate Raspberry pods…72 of them…the coveted flavor…in multiples of multiples…

Those daughters of mine…pulling one over on that mother of theirs…not knowing she’s been saving those few chocolate raspberry pods from the variety mix…for a special day…now making every day…for the next 72…a special day…a chocolate raspberry day…a relaxing morning coffee day…warmed by sweet thoughts…of those sweet thoughtful…girls…

And this husband of mine…agrees…
