I Came...I Saw...I Ate A Pork Chop On A Stick

 Those daughters and I…

Loved adventures…big ones…little ones…mama me getting a kick out of making the most mundane of things…a frolicking adventure…

Groceries…the park…a movie…the dentist…the fair…State Fair…county fair…see the bunnies…see the pigs…enjoy the 4-H projects…

There was never a year…we didn’t enjoy some family fair fun…and then…with the snap of the fingers…those days…are gone…

Those daughters of mine…meeting up…to carry on the State Fair tradition…see the piggies…ride the sky ride…eat a pork chop on a stick…

And not gonna lie…mama me…has just a little FOMO…those ladies of hers…so close…yet so far away…could be there…but doesn’t want to drive…

So enjoyed a fair adventure of our own…that husband and I…an old people adventure…not far…not crowded…a beauty of a day…

And that State Fair…will be there next year…and maybe this old gal…will be there…too…until then…she’ll just enjoy it…vicariously…
