This old gal…

Is in love…with pickleball…have heard it talked about…realized it was a thing…a cool trendy fad…daughters played it in high school gym class…non sporty me…questioned the popularity…cuz in the head of non sporty me…pickleball…was catch the cone…when those girls of mine teamed up for pickleball time…in this old head…they were zipping here and there…going for that cone…

And so it was…at Smashpark…those second placers in bags…challenged the gold medalists…in a game of pickleball…with the challenge…came rules description…a paradigm shift…an omg I’ve misjudged pickleball all these years…kind of thing…and a little old gal happy dance…

Cuz college me…would never run and capture a cone…but she did just so happen…to get a B+…in tennis class…not bad at ping pong either…and not gonna lie…can be a little competitive…so…the game was on…

Ginger and her pickleball playing mama…got beat…pounded…obliterated…but it was fun…amazingly fun…gloriously…fun…so much fun…non sporty me…wants to play again…and again…and probably…again…

Pickleball…so sorry to have misjudged you…you are a winner…even when…this old pickle playing gal…has to admit…she is a definitive…loser…
