Goodbye Gunk

This old gal…

Has a love hate relationship with lime…not the kind found in a margarita…but that crusty stuff found around water sources…like the bathroom…and to be honest…it’s not a love hate relationship…it’s just a hate relationship…or maybe even an obsession…

Those daughters of mine can attest to the fact…that every month or so…this old gal goes head to head…with that cursed beast…

Armed with cleaning products…toothbrush…scrub brush…knife…rags…toothpicks…mask for fumes…that mother of theirs…would head off to battle…not emerging from the bathroom til every crack and crevice is void of gunk…any kind of gunk…

And so it was…realization dawning…during the Little Cottage gunk battle…that the flooring isn’t a gray tan mottled hue…but a once lovely mix of tans…currently embedded with…black…gunk…black gunk…like this old gal…has never tackled before…

Stubborn Gunk fought a good fight…but one bottle of PineSol…two brushes…hours and sore muscles later…

The gunk crusader…emerged victorious…and quite possibly…a little embarrassed…at the fact that someone…was so easily deceived…by the clever camouflage skills…of Stubborn Gunk…
