Old Man Wrigley…

Sits by our back door every morning…this husband of mine calling out…someone’s waiting for you…you’d better get outside and say hello…

And sure enough…there he is…waiting patiently…blue cat eyes saying…hey Old Gal…you have nothing you have to do today…and I have nothing I have to do today…wanna have coffee…

So we do…well one of us does…has coffee that is…the other basks in the glory of his morning pet fest…

Set up a lawn chair in the sun…cover the lap with a towel for warmth…and cat hair…and we chat…have to go to Dollar General today…we’re out of toilet paper…purr purr…

Then check Tik Tok…that one chip challenge…ridicky-donk…purr purr…

Maybe plan supper…how about Tator Tot casserole…that sounds kind of good…purr purr…

And so it goes…something new added to the morning ritual…the Wordle and the news with my Mr…then a little bonding with a new friend…

An old gal…can’t…won’t…say no…to being appreciated…to being needed…to being a friend…to being loved…
