This old gal…
Found one…and wasn’t even looking…loves to browse antique shops…thrift stores…Goodwill…in search of the elusive swung glass vase… It’s the thrill of the hunt…never know where or when…something unique…in an old gal’s price range…will be unearthed… And so it did…on that birthday adventure with Smidge…hit up a shop downtown…and spied one…just one lowly light green guy…hidden in a corner…on a cluttered shelf… Walked the shop several times…determining the fate of Little Green…this being his role as a memento…of this glorious time…with that daughter of mine… Welcomed him to the family…have other greens…all different in shade…but Little Green is more clear…almost translucent…almost like…it’s the coveted uranium glass…perhaps…Little Green…glows… An adventure to find a black light flashlight ensues…this husband and I wait til dark…and…Little Green…is glorious…beautiful and proud…ethereal really…and surprise of surprises…he’s not the only one…with a touch of magic… Little Green…a treasure from that trip…of treasured memories…representing all I see…in that glowing girl of mine… And this husband of mine…agrees.
